A minor change to your diet…can do a WORLD of good:)

Farm Sanctuary is thrilled to launch a new video and educational micrositeexploring how the choices we make about food affect our environment!

The four and a half minute video narrated by actor Jason Schwartzman offers insight into factory farming’s detrimental impact on our planet – brought to you by experts from leading environmental protection organizations like the Sierra Club, Food and Water Watch, Worldwatch Institute, and Brighter Green. The video is shot “point of view” so that the viewer in a sense becomes the main character. Every day we are bombarded with information on what is good for us, so in this video viewers follow along the journey of a person’s day and realize that we can all take small steps for positive change.
The microsite contains useful statistics and information about how factory farming pollutes our air and water, contributes to global warming, produces excess waste, destroys land, wastes water and is a resource-intensive, inefficient means of feeding the world’s population. What better time than now to reflect upon how what we eat affects the world around us, and invite others to do the same? The microsite also offers several delicious, earth-friendly recipes and tips for how to eat meat free!
Jason lent his voice to this project to help our environment, and you can lend yours too by sharing this video with your friends and family, via social media or by signing one of the pledges to go meat free!
Help us make Earth Day every day by spreading the word!
